Collaboration
- Control email domains for external link sharing: Egnyte now lets customers control allowed or blocked domains for sharing and co-editing links, offering more flexible, centralized access management.
- View and manage all domain workflows: Admins can now see and manage all domain workflows in a single view, expand them to review each step, and edit or cancel workflows as needed for streamlined oversight.
- E-Signature’s certificate of completion: E-Signature completion certificates now have a cleaner, consistent header and footer, use a UTC timestamp, and feature improved layout for easier reading.
- Quick access to Egnyte Community: A new sidebar link lets users instantly dive into discussions, join groups, get support and training, and tap into best-practice resources.
- Recent file versions auto-enabled with co-editing MS Office files: When sharing a co-edit link, it automatically shows the latest file versions, so everyone works on the newest copy, reducing confusion and keeping edits in sync.
- Smart cache device dashboard: Users can now quickly check performance, connectivity, and usage, view device details, and manage policies to spot issues and optimize resources.
- Optimized Desktop App performance on high-core CPUs: Desktop App now uses multi-core CPU threads more efficiently, reducing unnecessary load on powerful machines, delivering a more responsive user experience.
- Co-editing with Google Docs on mobile (iOS app): Egnyte Mobile App now supports real-time co-editing for Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, letting multiple teammates collaboratively edit documents on mobile devices.
Intelligence
- Contract Analyst: Quickly review contracts at scale with key clauses and identify risks. You also get a clear dashboard showing upcoming renewals, terminations, payments, and expirations, helping you stay on top of what matters.
- Deep Research Agent: Explore complex topics effortlessly. Select your preferred Egnyte or web sources, and the agent gathers insights and compiles detailed findings for you in the background, eliminating the need for manual research.
- Add specific web sources in agents: Users can now set specific web sources for an agent and update them at any time, with sources visible directly on the agent’s interaction screen.
- Scope selection and web search: Users can now set Copilot’s scope, choosing specific files, folders, or websites, and adjust selections anytime to refine responses and get better results.
- Voice input for AI Chats (iOS app): Egnyte Mobile App adds voice input so users can speak prompts for summaries, Q&A, and knowledge lookups, making on-the-go use easier.
- Public APIs for custom agents: Public APIs let external apps access Egnyte custom agents, list configured agents, ask questions, and retrieve results from agent executions.
- Egnyte Copilot – Discontinued skills: Egnyte Copilot is removing share-link creation, file preview, and Secure & Govern insights, but users can still access all these actions through Egnyte’s native tools.
Governance
- Read Purview Label from a file: Uploaded or edited files now automatically carry over their Purview labels as metadata, with full support for protected labels.
- Scheduling capability for permission reviews and sensitive content reviews: Customers can schedule recurring permission and sensitive content reviews, choosing frequencies that match their audits, with automated checks running on flagged folders.
- Bulk Data Owner permission reviews: With Bulk Owner reviews, a parent review triggers requests to each subfolder’s data owner, reducing admin load and keeping permission checks easy.
- Sensitive content identification in inactive area: All inactive-area files now get sensitive content checks. This is for identification only. No remediation actions are allowed on inactive files today.
Platform:
- Next-generation Google integration: The new “Egnyte – Google” Workspace integration brings faster performance, easier access, and smoother co-editing with a modern UI for seamless collaboration.
- Egnyte for M365 (MS Teams and Outlook): Access, organize, upload, and share files directly, using the new Personal Tab in Teams and Outlook, and keep everything centralized in one place.
- Drag and drop, rename actions in the Egnyte Tab and Personal Tab (MS Teams and Outlook): Drag and drop files, rename anything right in Egnyte or Personal Tabs, and see everything sync instantly without any extra steps.
- Azure Blob Storage as a destination (general availability): Leverage Azure Blob Storage for external replication, alongside S3 and Wasabi, with the feature now available to everyone.
- MS Office Desktop – Option to choose primary domain: Select and change your primary domain, while importing multiple domains, making co-editing smoother and saving you from constant account switching.
- SharePoint Online (SPO) to Egnyte Cloud migration: SPO to Egnyte Cloud Migration lets customers easily migrate SharePoint and user data using a guided wizard, consolidating everything in one secure place.
- Migration Assistance – Job Recommendation Tool: Migration just got easier with auto-split job suggestions, simple permission mapping on the fly, and job-specific tokens that avoid random failures and clearly show who kicked things off.
